Gymkids Elite, which utilises Veqtor Sport technology, connects to the exercise equipment a child is using and allows them to compete with other children connected to the same system elsewhere by being able to watch themselves asthey row, run or ride in a virtual race against other racers on a screen.

Cyberbike wins gold

» Thursday 02nd of August 2007

Cyberbike recently won the Gold award at the Good Toy Guide Awards held in London, for best electronic game.

Here's what they had to say about it:
The children who had the chance to try out this item were bowled over by it and could not wait to get on. "My friend came round and was really jealous, we played for an hour competing against each other," George, seven, told us. "It combines a computer game with exercise so it is ideal if the weather is bad and you can't go out," our testers commented.  Older children loved this item and all our testers were impressed with the way it sustained their interest for hours.  "By far the best toy we have ever tried," one childminder said.

Cyberbike is available in two sizes: Infant for ages 3-6 and Junior for ages 6-10.

Mount Pleasant walk the furthest

» Thursday 17th of May 2007

At the recent Education Show in Birmingham, Gymkids ran a competition to see which school teachers could walk the furthest around the exhibition. Gymkids handed out free pedometers to teachers who had to come back at the end of the day to register their distance.

Joe Hartshorn from Mount Pleasant Primary School in Quarry Bank, West Midlands was the clear winner with a total of 18,652 steps!

For their prize Mount Pleasant have chosen the popular Cyberbike. We get the feeling that the kids will be fighting the staff about who gets to go on it first!

Congratulations to Mount Pleasant - and good walking Joe!
